Firstly, I would just like to address the fact I’ve been MIA since before Christmas. As you may have read in my last post, I was due to upload last minute Christmas present ideas. HOWEVER, I may have been slightly caught up in the festives and didn’t actually get round to it – I’m sorry! I was too busy eating and quenching my thirst (even when it didn’t need to be quenched) hehe.
Anyway, this is my first post in the New Year and I hope you enjoy reading!
My sister absolutely nailed my Christmas present this year and bought me Pat McGrath’s LiquiLUST 007 and ITS F*CKING AWSOME! For those of you who may have not heard about Pat McGrath, she’s a British makeup artist and creative design director of Procter and Gamble beauty. She is incredibly influential in the fashion industry.
Pat McGrath released her first beauty product in 2015 which was a gold eyeshadow – exclusively sold on her website and sold out in seconds! Last year (2017), she released her first core range of beauty products on her website http://www.patmcgrath.com.
Within the awesome sequin packaging, LiquiLUST 007 contains:
- Divine Nude Liquid Lipstick
- Slay-OMI Liquid Lipstick
- Possessed Liquid Lipstick
- Gold 007 Crystalline Micro-Fine Pigment
- Clear Vinyl Gloss
McGrath includes a little booklet with three ways to use these products:
Firstly: Hedonistic Hues – use the applicator of each liquid lipstick to ‘coat the curves of your lips’.
Secondly: Illicit Iridescence – ‘create iridescent crushed diamond sparkle’ by taking the crystalline micro-fine pigment on your finger and dabbing it over the top of the liquid lipstick for an ombrés effect.
Thirdly: Liquid Luxury – mix the Crystalline Micro-Fine Pigment and Clear Vinyl Gloss to create ‘perversely prismatic shine’.
I have tried each of these products and played around with the different ways to apply them and I can confidently say that I am so in love with this gift that I think it will be in my makeup bag forever. Even when they run out I will probably keep them as little souvenirs from such an iconic makeup brand and artist.
I would love to know if you have tried any of her other makeup products and what you thought of them? Please don’t forget to like this post if you enjoyed reading!
